With an annual turnover of GBP200m and over 39,000 students, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England. : About the role: Our Research, Development and Commercial Services unit, supports research, innovation and knowledge exchange activities across our five faculties and six Research Institutes. A suitably qualified, committed and skilled individual with relevant experience is now sought to support our Knowledge Transfer activities through helping to strengthen our interactions with public, private and third sector organisations. This will include:
- Promoting, securing and delivering knowledge exchange partnerships with SMEs as routes for applied collaborative research.
- Supporting and assisting the Knowledge Transfer Manager to grow income generation in accordance with the Corporate Plan targets.
- Initiating and developing new proposals for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and other knowledge exchange schemes, in close collaboration with academic colleagues, companies, Innovate UK, European Regional Development Fund projects and other fund managing agencies and bodies.
With a degree, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the range of Knowledge Transfer offerings to the business, public and third sector. Experience of successfully developing commercial interactions and a track record in generating income for an academic institution are required.
