Officer, Operations and Policy

London Office

Salary: £27,642 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract: Fixed term for 2 years, working 35 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual with strong planning, interpersonal and communications skills to work as part of a small team supporting the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) and Senior Manager, Operations & Policy, in maintaining an oversight of Arts Council core business, helping to ensure the efficient and effective running of the organisation and the DCE Department.

Your work will include the implementation and development of cross-organisational systems to improve consistency of approach, access to up to date information and operational oversight (e.g. the project management framework and the “quarterly release” of strategic funding programmes). You will support the functions of the Operations Management Group (OMG), National Leadership Group and similar meetings. In addition, you will be supporting the smooth running of the DCE Department, maintaining and developing internal systems for planning, risk review and financial monitoring.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can combine a demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise with flexibility and curiosity to contribute to areas beyond your daily responsibilities within the DCE’s remit.
