HM COURTS AND TRIBUNALS SERVICE

National Business Centre Delivery Director

Salary up to £90,000. Various locations including; Leicester, Loughborough, Northampton, Bradford, Birmingham, Darlington and Salford.

Access to justice is at the heart of our society. With 17,000 staff operating from 500 locations and a gross budget of c£1.7b, HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is a formidable operation. An executive agency of the Ministry of Justice, HMCTS is currently undertaking a programme of comprehensive reform to modernise the justice system, creating a more effective, efficient and responsive service for the public.

The new Delivery Director will be pivotal in strengthening the leadership of HMCTS by leading our National Business Centres through this period of transformation and growth. National Business Centres provide centralised services such as call centre and case management. As well as delivering improved performance and greater efficiency, National Business Centres will be the catalyst for developing more responsive and flexible services. Initially leading a team of 1,200, the successful candidate will develop and maintain world class contact centre and business processing services whilst increasing their span of control and influence in the operational delivery space.

You will bring significant experience of running large scale contact centres and/or business processing centres, with the ability to think strategically and contribute at senior leadership level. Not only will you be ultimately accountable to the Lord Chancellor, the Lord Chief Justice and the Senior President of Tribunals, there are also a wide range of stakeholders to influence and work in collaboration with. You do not need a public sector or justice background, but you will be expected to adapt quickly to your new environment and take a proactive approach to learning and development.  Most important is your ability to deliver transformational change and performance improvement through the leadership, engagement and development of your extensive team.
