Salary from £59,823 with potential to progress to £76,766 pa inclusive
The London School of Economics and Political Science has recently reviewed its entire digital presence to significantly improve the way in which the communication requirements of its students, academics, staff and stakeholders are supported. This is leading to the launch of a new website during the latter part of 2016 as well as a new content commissioning and digital governance framework.
We are now recruiting for a Head of Digital to play a lead role in delivering an audience-informed programme of change across LSE and move us on to a ‘business as usual’ footing..
The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the digital team consisting of developers, web editors and a programme manager, defining the process of future digital project delivery, and implementing new content governance structures throughout the School.
This newly created role will pivotal in informing the School’s future digital strategy and will be instrumental in applying digital thinking into the way we approach projects to ensure that we are delivering the best and most appropriate solutions for our key stakeholders.
The post holder will work as part of the senior management team of our Communications Division, reporting to the Director of Communications and Public Affairs.
Candidates should have:
- A record of substantial achievement in digital communications in a commercial, public, not-for-profit, or digital agency environment
- Experience in planning and managing digital projects, often involving multiple delivery teams and/or multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the complete digital development cycle from discovery through to technical development and implementation
